Vinay Joshy

I’m an incoming Master of Mathematics in Computational Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo supervised by Dr. Martin Lysy. I previously completed a Master of Science in Applied Statistics at the University of Guelph supervised by the wonderful Dr. Zeny Feng, where my research focused on variable selection methods and finite mixture models. I also hold a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Guelph and a Technical Diploma in Biotechnology from Mohawk College. These days I’m interested in statistical machine learning, numerical analysis and causal inference.
